Got some old piece of artwork for 50 cents earlier today and think it’s quite old. Can anyone decipher this? I don’t even know the language. Thanks!

It's Hebrew. I can read it, but I can't translate it

That’s Hebrew, I believe. Maybe a well-versed Oppo MOT can help? If not, go to a synagogue maybe?

It's hebrew, but I'm extremely rusty and I only learn it to read the Hebrew bible. What's the painting of?

It’s Hebrew, and fortunately for you, I teach Hebrew school. Let me get back to you.

+10 cool points for you. Hebrew, at least biblical, is a fascinating language I think.
The second word, it’s like M L ? M CH, right? I keep thinking ‘king’ or ‘angel’ but I'm rusty, :/.

Can we see the art itself?

“war”, “egypt”, “ramses” from what I can cobble together, but those are just individual words.

Ha, you are right! [subject] war [] Egypt [ ] Ramses [ ].
I forget how the sentences are strung together, but it might be (the person or king) he waged war against Egypt/mizraim upon (?, most likely a verb) Ramses, then I have no idea on that last part.
I’m really curious on the subject matter of the painting now...

My hebrew isnt as good as it used to be, but from what I could surmise its a painting by an artists named Anit and its of something to do with an Egyptian war involving Ramses in the year 1200

The second word is Meelchamah, which means war

Guess that would explain the war ship on the front
Thanks

When I had my bar mitzvah, all they ever taught me was how to pronounce it, so if you want it pronounced, I may be your guy, but if you want to know what he heck it says, you're gonna have to find someone different.

I figured you might show up, :). What's the first word? I though it was a verb for war, conjugated?
